Great innings by Jayawerdene ( 52 no ) and Irfan ( 19 no ) pulled Punjab to a great win over the Kolkotta Knight Riders. Brad Hodge’s 70 no went in vain ! Kolkotta scored 153/3 and Punjab, thanks to Katich ( 34 ) and Jayawerdene ( 52 no ) & Irfan (19 no ) scored 154/4 ! In the other match Du Preez took 3 wickets, reducing the Mumbai Indians to 23/3. However Jayasuria stroked a powerful 52 no and they are now 82/3. They finished with 149/4. Great batting by Uthappa (66 no ) and Kallis ( 69 no ) made the Bangalore win by a hefty margin of 9 wickets. Malinga was greeted with 2 effortless sixes by the veteran Kallis and Bangalore won easily.
