Mumbai pull off sensational win

Four runs required off the last ball and Rayudu hit it for six and Mumbai won off the last ball. What a game !

Franklin blasted 45 runs off 23 balls and Balaji was the villain for Kolkotta as he conceded four boundaries and a six, when Mumbai wanted just 21 off the last over.

Franklin hit Balaji for four consecutive fours and then took a single and young Rayudu was left to face the last ball of Balaji, which he promptly hit for six. Mumbai reached fourth position with 18 points from 14 matches ahead of Kolkotta ( who have 16 points ). Bangalore is placed first with 19 points.

For Kolkotta, Kallis smashed 59 off 42 balls, after they were reeling at 22/2.

Kallis was supported by M Tiwari and Y Pathan who scored 35 and 36 balls. Three sixes and four fours flowed off the bat of the burly Springbok. Bhatia and Tendo took Kolkotta past the 170 mark and everybody thought that it was a match winning score.

For Mumbai, Abu Nechim and Franklin took two wickets each, giving away 32 and 35 runs respectively.

Rajat Bhatia took three wickets for 22 runs to help the Kolkottans back into the game, after Sachin ( 38 off 27 ) and Bajji ( 30 off 29 ) looked like taking the game away from them with a 57 run partnership.

Bhatia removed Bajji in the ninth over and later Tendulkar and R Sharma to change the in the favour of the Knight Riders.

Bajji, coming in as a pinch hitter, did his job well and blasted the Knights to all parts of the field. Sachin on the other hand played solidly, waiting for the odd boundary and rotating the strike.
