As today is ruled by Moon, dies Luna, Soma Var........ On 10th, Moon came within the Kala Sarpa arc. Before that She was cancelling Kala Sarpa, being in the other 180 degrees arc. She will be within this arc till 26th. O Mother Divine, please save Kerala from the deleterious effects of Kala Sarpa ! This is one of the most famous temples in Ernakulam District. Legend has it that this was once a dense forest and a tribal called Kannappan used to live here. He was a devotee of the Mother Divine and he used to sacrifice an animal daily to the Goddess. He had a cute daughter who had a pet, a cow. Kannappan used to sacrifice cows also. One day Kannappan could not find an animal to sacrifice and he told his daughter that he is sacrificing her pet cow. She entreated him to sacrifice her instead of her beloved cow. Kannappan changed his mind. He was a reformed man later on. He repented for the animal sacrifices done by him. Repentance is to cease from sinning. He and the pet cow stayed near the Temple that night. Next day the cow had turned into stone and Kannppan knew that the cow was indeed the Mother Goddess ! That day the Lord Vishnu gave Kannappan a vision, forgiving his sins ! The Lord promised that he will abide in the temple forever and the concept of Lakshmi Narayana ( a combination of Purusha and Prakriti, the male and female components of the Ultimate ) came into being here ! Punjab and Bangalore prevail

We had 2 magnificent nerve baiting finishes yesterday. Dravid's men trouncing the Deccan Chargers by 3 runs and Punjab winning by 9 runs. The final over was bowled by experienced bowlers and they won the game for their teams. Kumble for Bangalore and Pathan for Punjab. If not for the great bowling of these bowlers, results could have been otherwise. This gives lie to the theory that T20 is a batter's game ! Piyush Chawla hit 21 in the last over to give Punjab a decent score, 178/6. Kolkota, despite David Hussy's 71 off 46 balls and Saha's 59 off 32, could only finish nine runs behind. Praveen Kumar took 3/23 and bowled the Royal Challengers to victory. 20 runs were need in the last over and Sanjay Bangar hit 2 sixes and almost did a Shane Warne.
