Punjab were beaten badly by Deccans and the play off maths was simplified yesterday. A great double century partnership of 206 runs, between Gilchrist and Marsh destroyed Bangalore. It surpassed the earlier record of 170, posted by G Smith and Bosman. It was raining sixes and it was the highest partnership in T20 cricket. Bangalore were demolished by aggressive batting and lost by 111 runs.
